Wheat Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar

Wheat is something most of use consume every day. It has been a staple of our diet for centuries. And although we consume it in the form of bread, pastries, muffins, and other baked delights, it isn't often that we think about the beautiful golden plant that allows us to have the flour we so lovingly use in our baking. The truth is wheat is beautiful. When driving in farm country, it's common to see fields full of it. And now you can bring wheat into your home in its true form with our Wheat stencil. The Wheat stencil shows three stalks of wheat with the plant's leaves surrounding them. The design is simple in its elegance and it's ideal for any number of projects. You can create a lovely wall design with the Wheat stencil, making it the center of a room's decor. Or you can take it smaller and do a wall border around a room. If you are decorating the backdrop for the set of a play, the Wheat stencil would be a great way to paint in a farm field. Or you can make gorgeous art or signs pointing to a farm. There are no limits to what you can do with the Wheat stencil. Just choose a lovely golden wheat color (or any other color you want) in a paint that suits the surface you are painting. WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?

As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.

Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.

There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
