Vertical Sign Welcome Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
Your home is your haven. Or maybe it's your store we're talking about. Either way, whenever someone comes to your doorstep, you want to welcome them with open arms and make them feel at home. What better way to do that than with a sign that says welcome? Well, we have just what you need – our Vertical Sign Welcome stencil. This stencil says WELCOME, written vertically, which would look amazing on its own or combined with another decorative stencil, such as our Tall Fir Tree stencil. You can use wood or metal to make a rustic sign small enough to hang in your home or perhaps a little bigger so you can sit it on your front step. You can stencil this design onto a wall or in the window of your shop. You can make a big sign to display on the road at the end of your farm driveway. There is no limit to the possibilities. All you need to make it happen is the right stencil size for your project, whether that is big, medium, or small. We laser-cut the Vertical Sign Welcome stencil in the following sizes: 3” x 6” 5” x 11” 18” x 8” 11” x 24” 36” x 16” 48” x 22” 55” x 25” If you are a DIYer by nature, using this stencil won't intimidate you, but if you aren't used to DIY projects, don't worry about it. The stencil is so easy to use that it takes just a few minutes from setup to cleanup. Secure the stencil to the surface, paint, remove it, and wash it. That's all there is to it. Then you can store it away or pass it on to a friend.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.

- Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained
WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
