Unicorn Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
Perhaps the most stunning and most adored mythical creature there is, the unicorn has been displayed in all forms of art for centuries. No one is quite sure where the myth originated, but that hasn't stopped us from soaking it up in paintings, sculptures, writing, and plays and movies. And now you can bring the myth alive in your home, art, and other DIY projects with our stunning unicorn stencil. The prancing motion of the unicorn is beautiful, the creature's rippling muscles highlighted, and its horn standing tall and proud, making it an elegant decorative choice. You can use this stencil in many ways. Use our large stencil to decorate the wall of a child's room or a sign that advertises an event or special location. Go smaller and stencil the unicorn onto greeting cards, decorative boxes, or wood or metal furniture. Because we laser-cut our stencils in-house, we offer it in a range of sizes, including: 5” x 6” 8.5” x 11” 18” x 12” 24” x 18” 36” x 24” 48” x 32” 55” x 35” Our unicorn stencil is intricate in its detail, with the individual hairs of the mane and tail visible and flowing in the breeze. You are sure to find the right stencil size for your DIY project. Then you can choose the paint colors that work best for your needs, and the right type of paint for the surface on which you are working. After that, simply secure the stencil and paint. Once you are done, just wash the stencil with warm, soapy water and put it away until you need it again or until a friend or family member wants to borrow it. The stencil is sturdy and reusable, making it an eco-friendly decorating option.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:

WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
