Triceratops Dinosaur Skeleton Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
Triceratops was an intimidating looking dinosaur that was actually quite harmless. An herbivore, it happily munched on plant material, while reserving its horns and head display for courting a mate. The triceratops was a fascinating looking animal that truly would have been a wonder to see. And while you can't see one in real life, you can definitely enjoy our Triceratops Dinosaur Skeleton stencil. The Triceratops Dinosaur Skeleton stencil shows this mighty beast almost as you would see it in a museum today. The skeletal frame is impressive and would be fun to paint onto any surface you would like. You can easily decorate a child's room with a dinosaur theme, stenciling this image right onto the wall. You can make it big or you can make it smaller and use it alongside our other dinosaur stencils, such as the Stegosaurus Dinosaur Skeleton stencil. Other uses include making party invitations, making dinosaur art, and painting the set of a play. You can even make t-shirts with this design! All you need to make your fabulous DIY dinosaur project happen is the right paint for the surface material and the right stencil size. We laser-cut the Triceratops Dinosaur Skeleton stencil in the following sizes: 5” x 6” 5” x 11” 18” x 12” 24” x 18” 36” x 24” 48” x 32” 55” x 35” The it's a matter of choosing your paint color, securing the stencil, and applying the paint using a spray, roller, or brush. You can even get your kids involved and have a craft day of stenciling! Then simply wash the stencil in warm, soapy water to clean it and store it until you or someone you know needs it again. This stencil truly does make a great DIY investment.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.

- Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
- Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained
WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
