Trevo Mandala Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
If you have ever drawn or even colored a mandala, then you know how calming an activity it is. The rhythmic pattern is mesmerizing, and it can draw you in, bringing you into the present and allowing you to leave all your stress and baggage behind, if only for a little while. Well, we wanted to capture the beauty and calming nature of the mandala and we did that in our Trevo Mandala stencil. The Trevo Mandala stencil has what looks like a four-petaled flower in the center, with other flower patterns radiating out from it. It resembles a lotus and it is breathtaking in its stunning beauty. It would be an ideal design to paint on a wall in a home, office, or yoga studio. Have a small painting of it on wood or canvas sitting on your desk. Create art you can sell at craft shows. No matter what you want to do you can, with this stencil or any of our other Mandala stencils, such as our Tranquility Mandala stencil. The key to this stencil's versatility is twofold. First, as long as you have the right paint for the medium, you can paint it on any surface imaginable. Second, we laser-cut this stencil in a range of sizes, so you can easily find the right size for your needs. Available sizes include: 6” x 6” 8” x 8” 12” x 12” 15” x 15” 20” x 20” 25” x 25” 30” x 30” 35” x 35” So, choose your colors, get your paint and supplies set up, then secure the stencil flat to the surface and get painting. You will have so much fun you might be sad it won't take very long. Fortunately, this stencil is 100% reusable, so with the proper care, it will last for hundreds of uses.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.
7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL

- Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
- Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained
WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
