Toronto Skyline Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar

One of the most recognizable city skylines in the world can be found in Canada. With the CN Tower, the Blue Jays, the Toronto International Film Festival, and the shores of Lake Ontario, Toronto has captured the hearts of so many people. Whether you were born and raised in Toronto, have come to love the city as an adult, or have helped grow the amazing international community that Toronto embodies, you will love our Toronto Skyline stencil. Our Toronto Skyline stencil is incredibly realistic. Just as the Statue Of Liberty defines the NYC Skyline, so the CN Tower is prominent in our Toronto Skyline stencil. You can also see the dome of the Rogers Centre and the many skyscrapers that are nestled together to create this eclectic downtown core. This would be a fabulous stencil design to use when decorating a Toronto tourist venue or even a fabulous downtown Toronto nightclub. Just paint it right onto a wall or window. You can also use this stencil design to create signs for Toronto tours or to create awesome Toronto t-shirts. There is no limit to what you can do with this stencil. As long as you have the right paint for the medium, you can paint it onto any surface. Just choose the size you need from our selection of sizes, which includes: 3” x 6” 5” x 11” 18” x 8” 11” x 24” 36” x 16” 48” x 22” 55” x 25” To get started with your DIY stenciling project, simply secure the stencil flat to the desired surface and apply the paint using a brush, roller, or spray. Then all you need to do is remove the stencil and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Plus, this stencil is durable and reusable, so it's a great DIY investment. Just wash it and tuck it away until the next time you or someone you know needs it.

Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:

  • FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
  • EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
  • REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
  • DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.

7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL

  • Medium Weight. Feels as thick as card stock
  • 7.5 Mil (0.19 mm) thickness
  • Very flexible for tight curves and cylinder shapes
  • Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
  • Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained

WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?

As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.

Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.

There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
