Tiger Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar

The tiger is a powerful spirit animal that represents courage, personal strength, and willpower. It is also seen by some as a symbol of raw emotion and feelings. Regardless of how you see the tiger, one thing is for certain – this is a creature that is beautiful and powerful all on its own. And we wanted to capture that beauty and strength, which is why we created our Tiger stencil. This stencil shows the front end of a tiger laying down, front paws crossed, head up and eyes alert. You can see the absolute power of this creature, and the detail is amazing, right down to the menacing eyes, his whiskers, and the texture of the fur. We laser-cut this stencil with care in a number of sizes, including: 6” x 6” 8” x 8” 12” x 12” 15” x 15” 20” x 20” 25” x 25” 30” x 30” 35” x 35” This would be the perfect stencil to paint large on the concrete wall outside the tiger enclosure at a zoo. It would also be ideal in a museum. Or perhaps you have a child who loves tigers. Imagine this as the centerpiece of that child's bedroom, painted large on the wall. You can also go smaller and create tiger art, t-shirts, handmade greeting cards, or anything else your imagination can come up with. And you can combine this stencil with any of our other animal stencils, such as the Lion stencil. The key to using this stencil is to be sure to use the right paint for the medium. When you do this, you can paint on any surface, such as paper, walls, glass, fabric, metal, plastic, wood, and more. Plus, this stencil is super easy to use. Just secure it flat to the surface and paint! Then you can wash it and store it in a safe place until you or someone you know wants to use it again.

WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?

As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.

Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.

There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
