Statue of Liberty Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar

There is no greater icon of New York City than the Statue of Liberty. Standing more than 300 feet above New York Harbor on Liberty Island, this statue is a symbol of freedom in the U.K. And the history of this great statue, gifted to the American people by France, is fascinating. The torch alone was on display in Madison Square Park in Manhattan from 1876 to 1882, prior to the assembly of the entire statue. And now you can capture the beauty and significance of this monument in your DIY projects with our incredible Statue of Liberty stencil. The Statue of Liberty design stencil offers you the perfect likeness of the famous statue in a format that you can easily recreate. You can see the folds of her robes, the tablet she is holding, the crown on her head, and of course, the torch held high above her. If you run a tourist shop or venue in New York, this is the ideal stencil design for a wall or window. If you want to take it to a smaller scale, then you can create fabulous stencil art on wood, metal, or canvas, or create handmade Statue Of Liberty greeting cards for sale. There is no limit to what you can do with this stencil. You can even transform your living room or entertainment room by painting the Statue Of Liberty design onto a wall in your home. You can even combine it with the NYC Skyline stencil for a unique effect. All you need is the right paint for the surface and the right size stencil for your needs. Available sizes include: 5” x 6” 8.5” x 11” 18” x 12” 24” x 18” 36” x 24” 48” x 32” 55” x 35” No matter what you use the Statue of Liberty stencil for, no one will question what this great image represents to the people of the U.K. and the world. Plus, using the stencil is simple. Just secure it flat to the surface and paint. Then remove the stencil carefully for a professional-looking image, wash it, and store it away for future use.

Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:

  • FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
  • EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
  • REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
  • DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.

7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL

  • Medium Weight. Feels as thick as card stock
  • 7.5 Mil (0.19 mm) thickness
  • Very flexible for tight curves and cylinder shapes
  • Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
  • Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained

WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?

As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.

Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.

There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
