Skeleton Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
Whether you are celebrating Halloween, the Day of the Dead, a play, or something entirely different, you will want to decorate for the occasion. What better DIY project than to stencil your own skeleton design with our Skeleton stencil. This stencil is ideal to put on posters, plastic bins, large signs, and even t-shirts. You can advertise a Halloween or Day of the Dead event. You can even decorate a window. All you need it is the right paint for your chosen surface. Because we laser-cut all our stencils in-house, we make sure the detail is fine and the edges are crisp. This creates a clean design you can be proud of. And although this is a skeleton, it's not so scary that you couldn't use it with the younger kids. In fact, you could get a few of our Skeleton stencils and have a craft project with the little ones or get the big kids decorating for their own Halloween party. The best part is that we make our Skeleton stencil in a wide range of sizes, so you will be able to find a size that works best for your project. Available sizes include: 5” x 6” 8.5” x 11” 18” x 12” 24” x 18” 36” x 24” 48” x 32” 55” x 35” Yes, you can design one huge skeleton to scare people at Halloween, or any time of the year, or you can use the smaller stencil and create a skeleton border to surround a sign or other Halloween art. All you need to do is secure the stencil flat to the surface and paint. Try some glow-in-the-dark paint for a great effect. When you're done, just wash the stencil and store it away. It can be used hundreds of times to decorate all your scary special occasions.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.
7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL

- Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
- Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained
WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
All stencil designs are copyright protected to their respective designer and intellectual property owner.
