Simply Blessed Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
There are so many ways to count your blessings, and whether life is good or you find yourself struggling lately, there are blessings to count. One of those many blessings is the ability to do DIY projects your way. And we want to help you do DIY and count your blessings at the same time, which is why we created the Simply Blessed stencil. This stencil says the words “Simply Blessed” in a couple of complementary fonts that play well with each other. The word “Blessed” appears inside a banner and there are branches with leaves to add some pizzazz. It's such a fun design, you will have a lot of fun painting it and admiring your handiwork when you're done. You'll need to at least have an idea of what your project will be before you get started because you will need two things to get going. One is the right paint for the medium. With that, you can paint on any surface, such as walls, windows, paper, metal, wood, plastic, fabric, and more. Second, you will need to order the right stencil size from our range of sizes, which includes: 5” x 6” 5” x 11” 18” x 12” 24” x 18” 36” x 24” 48” x 32” 55” x 35” And now the ball's in your court. Once you have everything in hand, all you need to do is secure the stencil to the surface and paint all your blessings out into this amazing design using a brush, roller, or spray. Then wash the stencil and tuck it away, because it also offers you the blessing of being 100% reusable. And don't forget to check out our other Décor stencils, such as the Bless This Mess stencil.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.
7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL
- Medium Weight. Feels as thick as card stock
- 7.5 Mil (0.19 mm) thickness
- Very flexible for tight curves and cylinder shapes
- Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
- Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained
WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
