Santa Footsteps Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
Who was creeping out of the fireplace? Or maybe you can see footsteps going up the stairs or into the parlor. You know whose footprints they are because there is a great big “S” wearing a Santa hat on the sole of the shoe. With our Santa Footsteps stencil, you can make it look like Santa has walked anywhere you want. You can paint just one footstep at a time and stagger them, so it really looks like Santa has been walking there. If you want them to be on the floor of an area permanently, you can put the design right on the floor. Or you can apply the footsteps to a material you use to cover the floor. Use glow-in-the-dark paint to make them light up at night. You can also use the smaller stencils to make it look like Santa has walked across a poster or sign or you can place them on holiday cards and gift boxes and bags. You can even put the footsteps on a big living room or store window, adding a bit of holiday mystery to your window display. With our range of stencil sizes, you can choose whatever size works best for your needs. Available sizes include: 6” x 6” 8” x 8” 12” x 12” 15” x 15” 20” x 20” 25” x 25” 30” x 30” 35” x 35” Traditional black works well on most surfaces, but you can always liven it up and use a different color if you want. The stencil is made from 10-mm-thick mylar, which holds up well over time. You can wash it and reuse it again and again, making Santa's footsteps available to you for many holiday seasons to come. Order yours soon so you can have in time for your holiday creations.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.

- Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
- Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained
WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
