Roman Numerals Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar

The Roman numerals numbering system dates back to ancient Roman times, and was used as the standard way to write numbers until well into the Middle Ages. Yet, this numbering system is still used in so many ways in today's world. We see Roman numerals around us every day. We learn about them in school. They are used to mark the year of production for a movie or TV show, the hours on a clock, and page numbering for some sections of a book or report. And now you can bring Roman numerals into your DIY art and decor projects with our incredible Roman Numerals stencil. The Roman Numerals template includes the Roman numerals from 1 to 10. You can combine these in any way to create numbers up to 39 and this opens up a world of possibilities. If you want to create a gorgeous clock design on a wall in your home, you can use these Roman numerals to number your clock. You can stencil the years that each member of your family was born. Perhaps you can create learning material for your students or kids at home, or have them paint the Roman numerals and match them up with regular numbers. Paint your street number on your store window or on a sign to hang outside your home. There is no limit to what you can do with Roman Numerals stencils. The key to this stencil's flexibility can be found in the ability to paint it anywhere and the range of sizes we offer it in. Available sizes include: 5” x 6” 8.5” x 11” 18” x 12” 24” x 18” 36” x 24” 48” x 32” 55” x 35” And with the right paint for the medium, you can easily paint these symbols on windows, walls, wood, concrete, metal, plastic, paper, canvas, and even fabric. When you are ready to use the Roman Numerals stencil, simply secure it to the surface and apply the paint using a spray, brush, or roller. Then remove the stencil, clean it, and save it for another time. This eco-friendly stencil is durable and reusable for many years to come.

Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:

  • FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
  • EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
  • REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
  • DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.

7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL

  • Medium Weight. Feels as thick as card stock
  • 7.5 Mil (0.19 mm) thickness
  • Very flexible for tight curves and cylinder shapes
  • Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
  • Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained

WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?

As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.

Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.

There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
