Rage Flower Thrower Banksy Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
One of political activist and graffiti artist Banksy's more powerful pieces was his Rage Flower Thrower. This incredibly accurate depiction of a rioter is contrasted sharply by the bouquet of flowers he is about to throw. The flowers are done in color, while the rioter is done in black and white. The piece speaks of finding peace in unexpected places and is a powerful reminder not to take everything at face value. And now you can take that reminder home and into your DIY projects with our Rage Flower Thrower stencil. This stencil is laser-cut to ensure precision detail. You can see the folds in the rioter's clothing and the handkerchief over his face. You can see the peak of his backward baseball cap and his eyes, as he readies himself to throw the flowers. The bouquet itself is detailed to show the flowers and leaves above and the stems sticking out the bottom of the wrapping. We create our stencils from durable mylar in a range of sizes. The Rage Flower Thrower comes in the following sizes: 5” x 6” 8.5” x 11” 18” x 12” 24” x 18” 36” x 24” 48” x 32” 55” x 35” Just think of what you can do with this stencil. You can create small wood or metal art to gift to others or sell at craft shows. You can create signs and posters to use at rallies and protests. You can use it to decorate an activist office or venue. You can even create invitations to a protest by using the stencil to create the artwork on the cover. This stencil can be used on nearly any surface, including walls, paper, glass, fabric, metal, wood, and plastic. All you need is the right paint for the medium. We've also seen some people use our tile stencil designs to create a background for their art. When you have chosen your desired colors, all you need to do is secure the stencil with some tape and paint. Go carefully on the detail of the image and when you lift the stencil, you will have a crisp, clear design left behind. Cleanup is a breeze. Just wash the reusable stencil and store it until the next time you need it.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.
7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL
- Medium Weight. Feels as thick as card stock
- 7.5 Mil (0.19 mm) thickness
- Very flexible for tight curves and cylinder shapes
- Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
- Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained
WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
All stencil designs are copyright protected to their respective designer and intellectual property owner.
