Peter Cottontail And Co Sign Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
Here comes Peter Cottontail… You know that catchy little children's song. Peter Cottontail is also an alternate name for the beloved Peter Rabbit from the famous Burgess Bedtime Stories. Most of all, Peter Cottontail is associated with Easter and all the yummy, chocolaty goodness that comes with that celebration. That's what inspired us to create our fabulous Peter Cottontail and Co. Sign stencil. This sign stencil is so festive. It says, “Old fashioned Easter treats. Family's favorite Peter Cottontail & Co. Easter eggs, choco bunnies, grandma's recipe since 1871.” A rich and lively combination of fonts is used and there are a couple of Easter eggs, and of course, a bunny to round off the design. It's gorgeous and would make a great Easter decoration in any setting. You will need to decide on your project before ordering your stencil and getting your paint. We have a range of sizes to choose from, meaning you will need to know what size you'll need right from the beginning. Available sizes include: 5” x 6” 5” x 11” 18” x 12” 24” x 18” 36” x 24” 48” x 32” 55” x 35” And you will need to know what surface you are painting on, so you get the right type of paint for the medium. Any surface can be used, including paper for signs and posters or wood, metal, or canvas for Easter art. You can paint this on the set of an Easter play, make fun graffiti art with it, and so much more! We also have other great Easter stencils to choose from, such as our Easter Welcome Peeps stencil. And even though the stencil is quite detailed, it will take very little time to secure it to the surface and paint. Use one color or many, it will look great either way. And cleaning up is so easy, you'll want to enjoy the experience all over again. Fortunately, you can because this stencil is durable and reusable.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.
7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL
- Medium Weight. Feels as thick as card stock
- 7.5 Mil (0.19 mm) thickness
- Very flexible for tight curves and cylinder shapes
- Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
- Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained
WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
