Panda with Guns Banksy Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
One of Banksy's most interesting pieces is a panda bear holding a gun in each paw. Originally painted in France, we have recreated this iconic image in our Panda With Guns Banksy stencil. You seriously wouldn't want to meet this panda in an alleyway. He is brandishing his guns and it looks like he means business. And now, you have to decide your business with this stencil. Use it to create great stencil art on metal or wood as part of a Banksy theme. Or perhaps decorate signs and posters for an event or paint it on furniture. Whatever you choose to do with the Panda With Guns Banksy stencil, this is an easy one to use, even if you're a beginner. Choose the standard black or paint in another color, depending on the background color and your personal preference. The stencil can be applied to many different surfaces, such as wood, metal, walls, fabric, concrete, plastic, or glass. Plus, it comes in a range of sizes, so you are sure to find the right size for your needs. Available sizes include: 6” x 6” 8” x 8” 12” x 12” 15” x 15” 20” x 20” 25” x 25” 30” x 30” 35” x 35” Just be sure you have the right paint for the surface you are painting, then secure the stencil and create your art. The stencil is made from a durable mylar, which means it is 100% reusable. So, when you're finished, just wash it and store it away for future use. That might be sooner than later because stenciling is an addictive activity. Plus, once your friends and family see your work, they might just want to borrow the stencil.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.
7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL
- Medium Weight. Feels as thick as card stock
- 7.5 Mil (0.19 mm) thickness
- Very flexible for tight curves and cylinder shapes
- Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
- Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained
WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
