Palm Tree Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar

When we think of warm, sunny destinations, we picture these blowing in the ocean breeze. Yes, palm trees represent those beach vacations we all wish we could go on, especially when we are in the midst of a cold winter. Why? Because these trees embody everything we love about the tropical regions of the world. And now, even if you can't go on that vacation you've been dreaming of, you can still enjoy the beauty of the palm tree with our fabulous Palm Tree stencil. The Palm Tree design depicts one of the shorter varieties of the palm. It's short and squat and you can see its detailed trunk and the leafy fronds that fan out of it in a beautiful gesture that almost looks flower-like. The stencil design is intricate and delicate and very fun to paint on any surface you desire. You can literally paint the Palm Tree stencil anywhere. As long as you are using the right paint for the surface material, you can paint this design on walls, wood, concrete, glass, plastic, metal, and canvas. You can even paint it onto a t-shirt. And since we offer the stencil in a range of sizes, you won't have a problem finding just the right size for your needs. Available sizes include: 6” x 6” 8” x 8” 12” x 12” 15” x 15” 20” x 20” 25” x 25” 30” x 30” 35” x 35” With this flexibility open to you, just imagine what you can do with the Palm Tree. You can paint it on a travel agency window. You can use it to paint the set of a play. Decorate a wall in your home with it. You can even make great stencil art to give as a gift or to sell at craft shows. Choose whatever colors you want, and to make it is truly one-of-a-kind, you can combine the Palm Tree with any of our other great stencils, such as the Beach stencil. With so much creative license open to you, you might be surprised to learn how easy it is to use our Palm Tree stencils. All you need to do is secure it flat to the surface and apply the paint with a brush, roller, or spray. That's all there is to it. And because the stencil is 100% reusable, you can clean it and tuck it away for another time.

Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:

  • FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
  • EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
  • REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
  • DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.

7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL

  • Medium Weight. Feels as thick as card stock
  • 7.5 Mil (0.19 mm) thickness
  • Very flexible for tight curves and cylinder shapes
  • Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
  • Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained

WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?

As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.

Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.

There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
