No Smoking Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar

This sign is universally recognized around the world, a cigarette enclosed in a circle with a line through it – no smoking! While there have been instances of banning smoking in different places throughout history, universal smoking bans in public and government places began to be implemented in many places around the world in the late 1990s and early 2000s. This made it possible to go to restaurants, bars, casinos, and places of work without worrying about being exposed to second-hand smoke. If you have a venue in which you would like to post a no smoking sign, we have just the stencil for you. Our No Smoking stencil is the exact design that is universally recognized, and now you can create your own signs quickly and easily and with a completely professional look. We offer the No Smoking stencil in a range of sizes, so it doesn't matter if you want to make it big or small, we have you covered. Available sizes include: 6” x 6” 8” x 8” 12” x 12” 15” x 15” 20” x 20” 25” x 25” 30” x 30” 35” x 35” All you need to do is get the right colors, generally black for the cigarette and red for the circle and line, and be sure the paint is right for the medium. Then you can paint this symbol right onto a wall or create metal, wood, or plastic signs that you can post wherever you need to. The stencil is durable and reusable, so you can make these no smoking signs whenever you need to. You can also lend the stencil to people you know so they can do the same. To use the stencil, simply secure it to the surface and paint. When you remove the stencil, you will have a clear message to send to your patrons. Plus, this stencil goes great with our other sign stencils, such as the Bathroom Sign stencil. Once finished, you can clean the stencil and tuck it away for the next time you need it.

Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:

  • FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
  • EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
  • REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
  • DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.

7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL

  • Medium Weight. Feels as thick as card stock
  • 7.5 Mil (0.19 mm) thickness
  • Very flexible for tight curves and cylinder shapes
  • Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
  • Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained

WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?

As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.

Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.

There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.

All stencil designs are copyright protected to their respective designer and intellectual property owner.
