Merry Christmas Ya Filthy Animal Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
Home Alone is one of the most iconic and beloved holiday movies of all time. It has become a classic, with that inventive and feisty boy, Kevin, outsmarting those two crooks. And one of the most famous scenes in the movie is when Kevin is watching that old black and white flick Angels With Filthy Souls. Well, in honor of Home Alone and the famous line from the movie he was watching, “Keep the change ya filthy animal,” we have created our Merry Christmas Ya Filthy Animal stencil. This stencil has the words, “Merry Christmas Ya Filthy Animal,” surrounded by small stars and including a set of antlers with a bell hang from either antler. It's such a fun, decorative design, you will be happy to paint it and display it just about anywhere during the holiday season. All you need to do is choose the right stencil size, whether you are making a large holiday sign for the office or a small piece of art to hang in your home. We laser-cut this fantastic stencil in the following sizes: 5” x 6” 5” x 11” 18” x 12” 24” x 18” 36” x 24” 48” x 32” 55” x 35” Then you need to choose the colors you want to rock this design with and get those colors in paint designed for the surface on which you are painting. With the right type of paint, you can paint on paper, wood, metal, plastic, fabric, glass, and more. Think t-shirts, handmade greeting cards, or anything else that comes to mind. You can even use this alongside any of our other holiday stencils, such as our Candy Cane stencil. And at the end of the day, this stencil is so easy to use. Just secure it to the surface and paint, taking care to preserve the detail of the stencil. The image will come out totally clear and you will love it. You will also love cleanup, which is as quick as giving the stencil a wash and putting it in a safe place until the next holiday season.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.
7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL
- Medium Weight. Feels as thick as card stock
- 7.5 Mil (0.19 mm) thickness
- Very flexible for tight curves and cylinder shapes
- Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
- Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained
WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
