Meh Heart Valentines Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
Valentine's Day is a day for people who are in love. Flowers, chocolates, and sappy cards are given from a place of love and adoration and fancy dinners are consumed by candlelight. It's all very romantic. Yet, there are some who would just rather ignore this love-filled holiday and now we are giving you a way to do just that in your own DIY way. It's our Meh Valentine's Heart stencil and it is fabulous. This stencil design really does say it all with the single word “meh.” After all, what more needs to be said? The heart is cartoon-like in an elegant way and there is an arrow through the heart and the word “meh.” It is the absolute best way to capture the sentiment that Valentine's Day isn't all that. The question is how you are planning on having fun with this stencil? Are you going to make your own personal Valentines to pass out to people? Perhaps you will paint this design on t-shirts to give to your friends or sell at craft shows. Stencil art is also a great option. You can even create an amazing anti-Valentine's Day cake with this food-grade stencil. The key to this versatility? With the right paint for the medium, any surface is fair game. Walls, glass, fabric, paper, plastic, canvas, wood, and more. And we laser cut the Meh Heart Valentine's stencil in the following range of sizes to suit any project: 5” x 6” 5” x 11” 18” x 12” 24” x 18” 36” x 24” 48” x 32” 55” x 35” You can let the world know you feel “meh” about Valentine's Day with this stencil, or you can use one of our other fun stencils, such as the Leave Me Alone Valentine's Heart stencil. Either way, painting is a breeze. Secure the stencil to the surface and brush, roll, or spray the paint in place. Then you can wash this stencil and save it or pass it on to someone else who wants to say “meh” to Valentine's Day the DIY way.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.
7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL
- Medium Weight. Feels as thick as card stock
- 7.5 Mil (0.19 mm) thickness
- Very flexible for tight curves and cylinder shapes
- Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
- Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained
WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
