Llama Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
Llamas are unique animals, bred in the Andes and full of soft, warm wool. And yes, they are related to the camel, but instead of adapting to live in a hot arid climate, they are made for the cold. Not only that but llamas are smart and actually originated in North America 40 million years ago! And now, you can bring the llama back to North America or anywhere else in the world in your own unique way with out fabulous and decorative Llama stencil. The Llama stencil is highly detailed, with individual hairs visible on the llama's body and two toes visible on each foot. But even more eye-catching is the beautiful blanket the llama is wearing, which looks like a stunning and intricate flower. It's simply gorgeous! This design would make a beautiful decoration in any room, whether painted directly on the wall or hanging as a piece of art. In fact, this stencil is highly versatile. It comes in the following sizes: 6” x 6” 8” x 8” 12” x 12” 15” x 15” 20” x 20” 25” x 25” 30” x 30” 35” x 35” And you can literally paint this stencil anywhere, provided you have the right paint for the surface material. Paint the Llama stencil on a store window or on the barn wall of a llama farm. Use it to paint the backdrop of a play. Make art or handmade greeting cards you can sell at craft shows. Choose any color you like to paint the Llama design and make it truly one-of-a-kind by combining it with any of our other animal stencils, such as the Aztec Lizards stencil. Seriously, when you are finished with the Llama stencil, you will have a totally professional-looking image. Just secure the stencil well with tape and paint carefully. The image will be crisp and clear every time because we laser-cut each stencil in-house. And the best part is this stencil is an investment in your future DIY projects because it is 100% reusable. Just wash it and store it somewhere safe until you need it again.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.
7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL

- Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
- Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained
WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
