Let It Snow Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar

It never truly feels like the holidays until the ground turns white with fluffy white snow. Why not entice the snow with our wonderful Let It Snow stencil – or at the very least, get people thinking about the snow to put them in the holiday spirit? The Let It Snow stencil is made from laser-cut 10-mm mylar, so it is durable and incredibly detailed. With fancy swirling script and a few delicate snowflakes, this stencil brings to mind the image of snow whirling in the wind. You can customize the stencil with whatever colors you choose, perhaps traditional Christmas colors or something a little more modern, something to match your holiday decor, such as blue and silver or red and gold. You can also get our stencils in a variety of sizes. This makes it possible to do smaller work, such as holiday cards and gift bags and boxes. Yet, you can get larger stencils that would look great on large signs that would be ideal at a Christmas craft sale or other holiday event or in a large living room or store window. WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?

As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.

Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.

There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
