Jingle Bells Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar

It is one of the most classic songs of the holiday season. Everyone knows this song, from kindergarten children all the way up to the grandparents and beyond. It's fun, it's catchy, and it needs to be belted out in true holiday spirit. Yes, I am talking about the classic Jingle Bells, a song that was written and published in 1857. In fact, it was originally called One Horse Open Sleigh and originally meant to be sung for the Thanksgiving season, if you can believe it. Well, we have come up with our own way to honor this timeless classic, with our Jingle Bells stencil. This stencil is so pretty, you will be proud to include it in your holiday decor. It has the words “Jingle Bells” surrounded by snowflakes, holly leaves, ribbon, and a set of bells, of course. Just looking at the stencil brings the song to mind and the stencil design is just as lively. The question is what will you do with it first? Honestly, all you need is the right paint for the medium and you can paint this awesome design anywhere. You can make signs for a church concert. You can paint on canvas, metal, or wood and create beautiful stencil art. You can paint it on a store window to entice people to come inside. And you can use any color of paint you want – traditional red and green, sparkly silver and blue. Anything at all! And since we laser-cut the stencil in a range of sizes, there is bound to be the right size for your needs. Available sizes include: 5” x 6” 5” x 11” 18” x 12” 24” x 18” 36” x 24” 48” x 32” 55” x 35” So, choose your project and your colors, get your paint, and secure the stencil flat to the desired surface. Take care when you are painting, since the design is quite detailed, and you will have a perfect image when you are finished. And remember, you can pair this design with any of our other holiday stencils, such as our Christmas Tree stencil. When you're done, all you need to do is wash the stencil and store it in a safe place until the next holiday season.

Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:

  • FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
  • EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
  • REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
  • DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.

7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL

  • Medium Weight. Feels as thick as card stock
  • 7.5 Mil (0.19 mm) thickness
  • Very flexible for tight curves and cylinder shapes
  • Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
  • Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained

WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?

As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.

Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.

There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
