Home Sweet Home Antler Heart Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
Everyone loves their home. Even though going on vacation and exploring new places is exciting, there is nothing quite like getting back home after time away. Have you ever wanted to express your love of your home and the joy and comfort it brings? If you are a DIYer and you love exquisite and beautiful things, then we have just the thing for you. It's our Home Sweet Home Antler Heart stencil and it's just stunning in its design and detail. This stencil is so lovely. It has a set of antlers with a heart in the center, below the words “Home Sweet Home.” The entire design is finished off with pinecones, some evergreen twigs, and a few small flowers. It's truly an elegant design that would look amazing anywhere you want to paint it. Perhaps you'd like to be bold and paint this design onto a wall in your entryway or dining room. It would make a great centerpiece to your home's decor, or at the cottage, if you want to spruce things up there. If you would rather avoid painting on your walls, you can still enjoy this design as a piece of rustic stencil art, perhaps painted on metal or wood. You can give this as a housewarming gift, either as art or painted on the side of a vase or lamp. You can sell your art at craft shows, painting it on t-shirts, making greeting cards, or canvas. Honestly, as long as you have the right paint for the medium, any surface is fair game. That goes for this stencil or any of our other stencils, such as our Home Sweet Home Mason Jar stencil. Combine the right type of paint with the correct stencil size and you have an unstoppable combination for creativity. Available sizes include: 5” x 6” 5” x 11” 18” x 12” 24” x 18” 36” x 24” 48” x 32” 55” x 35” So, if you want to make your home that much sweeter, take your stencil and secure it to the desired surface, then paint with care to preserve the fine detail of the design. Once you're finished, you will have a perfect image and an easy cleanup. Wash the stencil and store it away until you or someone you know needs it again.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.
7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL

- Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
- Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained
WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
