Harvest Blessings Antlers Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
There are so many symbols of fall. The harvest is one and the antlers of deer or moose is another. After all, fall is hunting season for those who enjoy it and provide for their families. Fall is a time when the decor changes to reflect the new season, a season of abundance and joy. For many DIYers, this means coming up with new and exciting ways to create art and decor. We have made this easy with our incredible Harvest Blessings Antlers stencil. This stencil depicts the fall season in a stunning way. There is a set of antlers beautifully adorned with a bunch of flowers, with the words Harvest Blessings above. It is the perfect design to add a touch of class to any home decor. And you can use this design in many ways. Create art you can hang in your home, give as a gift, or sell at craft fairs. Create greeting cards to send out to family and friends, wishing them a warm fall season. Paint it on the side of a wood, metal, or plastic box with good eats you have harvested from your garden or bought at your local farmer's market. We also have other fall stencils you can pair with this design, such as our Thankful And Blessed stencil. You certainly aren't limited in where you can paint this design. After all, as long as you have the right paint for the medium, you are good to go on any surface imaginable. Add to that the right stencil size for the job, and you have free reign. We laser-cut the Harvest Blessings Antlers stencil in the following sizes: 5” x 6” 5” x 11” 18” x 12” 24” x 18” 36” x 24” 48” x 32” 55” x 35” So, choose some colors that will really make this design pop. Maybe brown for the antlers and make the flowers colorful and full of life. Whatever you choose to do and wherever you choose to paint it, when you are ready, secure the stencil flat to the surface and paint, taking care to preserve the detail. Then you can remove the stencil for a perfect image, wash it, and tuck it safely away until the next time you are inspired to create some fall art.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.
7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL
- Medium Weight. Feels as thick as card stock
- 7.5 Mil (0.19 mm) thickness
- Very flexible for tight curves and cylinder shapes
- Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
- Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained
WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
