Halloween Resting Witch Face Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
Halloween and witches have gone together since Halloween was created decades ago. But what about a resting witch face? This is an expression used when a woman has an expressionless face that might be interpreted as mean, but isn't. Instead, she's referred to as having a resting witch face. But you can also have a truly resting witch, maybe one with her eyes closed. Just don't be fooled if you see one. She still knows you're there. And to honor that resting witch, we have created our Resting Witch Face stencil. This stencil has the words “Resting Witch Face” in a fun combination of fonts. The words on their own are fun and meaningful, and you can use them as is or combine them with another witchy stencil, such as our Witches Be Trippin' stencil. Either way, you will have loads of fun creating DIY Halloween decorations with this stencil. Make signs and posters for a Halloween party. Make stencil art for your spooky home. Make t-shirts that scream a witchy Halloween. Give a special greeting card to your resting witch-faced friend. All of this and more are possible with the correct paint for the surface and the right stencil size. We laser cut this stencil in house in a range of sizes that includes: 5” x 6” 5” x 11” 18” x 12” 24” x 18” 36” x 24” 48” x 32” 55” x 35” The best part is you definitely won't have a resting witch face when you use this stencil. It's super fun and very quick and easy to use from setup to cleanup. Just secure the stencil, paint, then remove the stencil and wash it. It's thick and durable and will last for many Halloweens to come.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.
7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL
- Medium Weight. Feels as thick as card stock
- 7.5 Mil (0.19 mm) thickness
- Very flexible for tight curves and cylinder shapes
- Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
- Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained
WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
