Halloween Countdown Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
There are many people who love and prepare for Halloween more than any other holiday – yes, even more than Christmas. And those people like to count down the days until Halloween, just as people do with Christmas. That's why we have created our Halloween Countdown stencil. This stencil is perfect for anyone who is eager for Halloween to arrive. It has the words “When witches go riding & black cats are seen ‘tis ____ days until Halloween.” That blank space? It's yours to fill in! Plus, there is a witch on a broomstick, a black cat, and a couple of bats to round out the design. Now, here's the best part. You can paint this design on any material you want. You can make a fancy countdown decoration on wood, and make wooden numbers to change out as you count down. You can paint the surface of your choice with chalkboard paint first and paint this design over it, then use chalk to change the number each day as you count down. There really are no limits. You can even start counting down the day after Halloween ends, if you love the holiday that much. And you can combine this stencil design with others, such as our Bats Halloween stencil. How is this possible? Well, first, we offer the Halloween Countdown stencil in a wide range of sizes, which includes: 5” x 6” 5” x 11” 18” x 12” 24” x 18” 36” x 24” 48” x 32” 55” x 35” Second, as long as you choose the right paint for the surface on which you are painting, you will be able to paint on any surface imaginable. You can paint this right onto the side of a big cauldron if you want! So, choose your paint and colors. Secure the stencil flat to the surface. Then paint your heart out. Then you will be counting down the days to your favorite day of the year. Just remember to wash the stencil and tuck it away when you're done. Or lend it to a friend. This stencil is durable and 100% reusable, so take good care of it!
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.
7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL
- Medium Weight. Feels as thick as card stock
- 7.5 Mil (0.19 mm) thickness
- Very flexible for tight curves and cylinder shapes
- Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
- Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained
WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
