Grillmaster Barbecue Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
Do you have a grill master in your family? You know the person, often the dad of the house, who loves to barbecue. He's the one who stands over the grill as the meat cooks, making the perfect burgers and hotdogs and sausages. The perfect steaks and chicken. The perfect kabobs. He thoroughly cleans and cares for the grill after every use and perhaps even lights up the grill during the cold winter months. If you have one of these grill masters in your house, you will love our Grillmaster Barbecue stencil. This stencil says one word and one word only – GRILLMASTER. But does it really need to say more? Make a sign to attach to your barbecue or hang it over your barbecue on the back patio, letting the world know who cooks on it. Paint this design on the barbecuing apron. Put it up as art in the kitchen of a restaurant. If you want a slightly different look, you can also use our Grill Master Summer BBQ stencil. To use this stencil, decide on your project first. Then you will know what type of paint to get and what stencil size you need. We laser cut this stencil in a range of sizes, as follows: 3” x 6” 5” x 11” 18” x 8” 11” x 24” 36” x 16” 48” x 22” 55” x 25” With the right type of paint, you can paint on any surface, such as paper, wood, metal, plastic, glass, and more. And since using this stencil is so quick and easy, you will have it done and cleaned up in no time, leaving you plenty of time at the grill. Just secure the stencil, paint, then remove it and wash it and you'll have it to use again and again.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.
7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL
- Medium Weight. Feels as thick as card stock
- 7.5 Mil (0.19 mm) thickness
- Very flexible for tight curves and cylinder shapes
- Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
- Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained
WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
