Fire Extinguisher Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar

When people are out and about in this world, they rely on signs to tell them where to go, what they can and can't do, where to park, where to sit, where they can get what they want. Signs are an easy and efficient way to get the message across. But signage can be an expensive investment for many businesses and organizations, particularly when they are just starting out and don't have a huge budget. Or you might just be running an event and need to let people know where they can find something specific, like the drinks or the recycling bins. Well, this is why we have created our Industrial stencils, including our awesome fire extinguisher stencil. This stencil perfectly depicts the standard industrial stencil symbol, which is perfect in any number of settings. Seriously, no matter where you paint this symbol, people will know what it means, and they'll be grateful for the direction. Best of all, you can literally paint it anywhere. Whether it's temporary signage done on paper or cardboard or permanent signage painted right onto the wall or onto plastic, wood, or metal that is secure to a wall, this stencil will work perfectly. And if you are outside, you can make large and small signs to make sure people can see them no matter where they are. We make this stencil design in a range of sizes, which means you can get the size you need. And since the stencil is inexpensive, you can get more than one without going over budget. The key to this versatility lies in the paint. Yes, that's the secret. As long as you have the right paint for the surface on which you are painting, you will be able to paint anywhere you want. And it's so quick and easy, creating your signage won't take you away from the other things you need to get done. All you need to do is secure the stencil flat to the surface and paint. Then wash the stencil and you can put it away and reuse it over and over again.

Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:

  • FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
  • EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
  • REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
  • DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.

7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL

  • Medium Weight. Feels as thick as card stock
  • 7.5 Mil (0.19 mm) thickness
  • Very flexible for tight curves and cylinder shapes
  • Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
  • Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained

WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?

As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.

Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.

There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
