Feast Mode Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
How many people do you know who get in full feast mode around the holidays? Thanksgiving and Christmas are times when families gather, and the men make sure they are wearing elastic-waist pants. The smell of the turkey is enticing, but not more so than the smell of those pies baking. Yes, food is a huge part of our holiday celebrations and what better way to express your love of it creatively than to use our Feast Mode stencil in your DIY projects. The Feast Mode stencil has the image of a huge cooked turkey, underneath which are the words Feast Mode Activated. The end of the turkey leg is even in the shape of a heart because we all know that these family meals are cooked with love. It's simple and it's powerful. It's also fun! Just imagine this design stenciled onto an apron or as a piece of art hanging in the dining room. What about making signs and posters for a huge community Thanksgiving dinner? Anything is possible! All you need to activate your feast mode is the right paint for the surface material in the colors you want to use and the right stencil size. We laser-cut the Feast Mode stencil in the following sizes: 6” x 6” 8” x 8” 12” x 12” 15” x 15” 20” x 20” 25” x 25” 30” x 30” 35” x 35” You can even combine this stencil design with one of our other fall designs, such as the Get Your Gobble On stencil. Once you have everything you need, just secure the stencil and paint. It's that simple. Then just wash the stencil and store it somewhere safe. It's 100% reusable, making it the ideal DIY investment.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.
7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL
- Medium Weight. Feels as thick as card stock
- 7.5 Mil (0.19 mm) thickness
- Very flexible for tight curves and cylinder shapes
- Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
- Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained
WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
