Fairies are mysterious creatures. Steeped in the folklore of many cultures, some fairies are good, some are mischievous, and some are downright bad. Well, it's time to bring a little of the good fairies into your home with our beautiful Fairy Moon stencil. This stencil brings the elegant fairy together with the gorgeous crescent moon, so you can create a lovely image on a wall, on a piece of art, in a window, or anywhere else you like. Just imagine a child's room with a fairy-tale theme, the Fairy Moon stencil painted large on the wall, perhaps surrounded by some of our other stencils, such as the Moon And Stars stencil. After all, the fairy's wand is shooting stars from it, her wings folded neatly behind her as she sits on the crescent of the moon. WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?

As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.

Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.

There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
