Eagle Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
The eagle. A symbol of American pride and of beauty, power, and majesty. Native Americans believe the eagle is a spiritual messenger because it soars higher than any other bird. This great bird of prey is stunning to see in nature and now you can make it soar in your home and in your DIY projects with our intricately detailed Eagle stencil. The detail on our Eagle stencil is so fine, you can see the individual feathers in the wings and tail, the talons on the feet, and the eye and curved beak. The wings are spread, and the eagle is poised to strike, ready to expertly grab its prey. Can you imagine this design stenciled on the wall of a hunting lodge or cottage? Perhaps in a child's room, as part of a nature scene. You can use this stencil to create art, signs, posters, and greeting cards. The Eagle stencil can be used in so many ways because we offer it in a wide range of sizes, including: 6” x 6” 8” x 8” 12” x 12” 15” x 15” 20” x 20” 25” x 25” 30” x 30” 35” x 35” All you need to do to use the Eagle stencil is choose your surface, get the right paint for the medium, and secure the stencil. Since the laser-cut detail is so fine, paint carefully in your chosen colors. You can go monotone or you can choose two or three colors to bring truly alive. Clean the stencil with warm soapy water when you are finished and be ready to lend it out. Since it's 100% reusable, there is no doubt that once your friends and family see what you've done with it, they will want to use it, too.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.

WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
