Deco Mandala Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
The mandala is one of the most eye-catching, stunning, and calming creations of humans. Usually depicted as a symmetrical circular pattern, the mandala is created, colored, and painted by people as a way to do something meditative and soul-nourishing. This is why we have brought you our collection of Mandala stencils and why we have created the incredible Deco Mandala stencil. The Deco Mandala stencil offers a slightly more angular pattern than the average mandala design. It is reminiscent of the sun, with what looks like sun rays around its edge. This design would absolutely make the perfect focus of any decor in a home, community center, or office. We offer stencils big enough to paint this design huge on a wall or smaller as a wall border. The range of sizes includes: 6” x 6” 8” x 8” 12” x 12” 15” x 15” 20” x 20” 25” x 25” 30” x 30” 35” x 35” All you need to do is be sure you have the right paint for the medium on which you are painting, whether that is a wall, glass, wood, metal, canvas, plastic, paper, fabric, or another surface. Painting the design couldn't be easier. Just secure the stencil to the surface and apply the paint with a brush, roller, or spray. The resulting image will look so good everyone will think a professional did it. Then simply wash this reusable stencil and tuck it away for future use. What a great DIY investment!
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.
7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL

WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
