Crocheting Unraveling Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
There is nothing quite like the relaxing rhythm of crocheting, of weaving together that yarn into a pleasing and practical pattern. The act of crocheting is often a great relief from the busyness of life, a time to sit and calmly create something. Crocheting can sometimes feel like your only link to sanity. And now, you can express your love of crocheting in a whole new way with our Crocheting Unraveling stencil. The Crocheting Unraveling stencil has the words, “Crocheting Keeps Me From Unraveling,” with a ball of yarn on either side of the words and a crochet needle underlining the word “Crocheting.” It is a casual and fun stencil design that can be used in any number of settings. All you need to do to use the stencil is be sure you use the right paint for the medium and get the stencil in the right size for the project you have in mind. We offer the Crocheting Unraveling stencil in the following sizes: 5” x 6” 5” x 11” 18” x 12” 24” x 18” 36” x 24” 48” x 32” 55” x 35” You can choose any colors you want to make this design come alive. Paint it onto a wall to liven up your craft area or a wall in a yarn store. Or create stencil art you can hang in your home, give to a crocheting friend as a gift, or sell at craft shows. Make crocheting t-shirts for your crochet group. There are absolutely no limits to what you can do with this stencil. Paint it on walls, glass, canvas, fabric, metal, wood, concrete, and more. Plus, painting this stencil design couldn't be easier. Simply secure the stencil flat to the surface and use a brush, roller, or spray to apply the paint. Then wash the stencil and tuck it safely away until you need it again. Who knows, you might find stenciling as relaxing and fun as crocheting.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.

WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
