The snakelike creature has been used by Chinese royalty as a symbol of imperial strength and power, and to the regular folk of China it symbolizes power, good luck, and strength. Now, you can bring a little of the Chinese dragon's good luck, power, and strength into your home with our gorgeous Chinese Dragon stencil. This stencil is made using our precision laser cutting technique that allows us to add fine detail. You can see the dragon's spines and toes, and even its eye. Yet, the detail is not so fine that this Chinese Dragon stencil would be difficult to paint. We also offer this stencil in a range of sizes, which makes it easy to find the right size for just about any DIY stenciling project. If you like Chinese decor in your home, you can stencil a large Chinese dragon on your living room wall or another wall in your home. Or perhaps you have a business that could use the dragon design on walls or windows. WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?

As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.

Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.

There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
