Cherry Blossom Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
Cherry blossom time -- it's brief, but glorious. Cherry blossoms are eternal in your own home, though, with our cherry blossom stencil. It's a beautifully detailed and delicate representation of the iconic flower that fits seamlessly with Japanese-inspired decor. Use the cherry blossom stencil to infuse a sense of tranquility into the living space, or elevate a prosaic room to something special. Cherry blossom stencils suit small crafts work, too. Bring a custom touch to a piece of furniture with the stencil and take advantage of the opportunity to experiment with the effects of combining colors and layering techniques before tackling bigger projects. Our selection of sizes, from small tile to canvas dimensions, lets you create a variety of effects with the graphic. The tough, 10 mm thick, mylar material that we use for the stencil adds to the versatility. Since it's heat-resistant, washable, reusable and food safe, you can use it almost anywhere, in almost limitless configurations.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.

WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
