Camp Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar

Camping is one of life's greatest pleasures. It's something so many people live for during the summer months, whether that is camping trips with the family or going off to summer camp as a kid. Just getting out in nature, hiking, fishing, roasting marshmallows over a campfire – there is nothing better! And now we have the perfect way for you to express your love of camping DIY-style. It's our incredible Camp stencil! The Camp stencil says “CAMP” in a fun font, but the “A” looks like a tent. This is such a great design that you can use for many different DIY projects. If you run a summer camp, you can make signs to direct people to that camp. We have stencil sizes big enough to make signs that can be seen from the road, as well as signs for onsite. You can also make small signs to decorate your campsite when family camping, or to adorn your cottage. Then there is the great stencil art you can make with the Camp stencil. We laser-cut this stencil with precision in the following sizes: 5” x 6” 5” x 11” 18” x 12” 24” x 18” 36” x 24” 48” x 32” 55” x 35” They key to using this stencil wherever you want is in the paint. You want the right color, but more importantly, you need the right paint for the surface on which you are painting. With the right paint, you can paint anywhere, such as on wood, metal, walls, glass, canvas, concrete, and fabric. Just imagine the fun camp t-shirts you can make with the camp kids. WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?

As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.

Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.

There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
