Bullseye Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
The bullseye target is frequently used in target practice, whether you are shooting firearms or doing archery. However, this image can also be used in art and decor, particularly when you have our Bullseye stencil. We laser-cut the Bullseye stencil in a wide range of sizes, from small to large. This gives you complete versatility in how you choose to use it. Available sizes include: 6” x 6” 8” x 8” 12” x 12” 15” x 15” 20” x 20” 25” x 25” 30” x 30” 35” x 35” This size variation allows you to create things as small as greeting cards and small signs to massive targets you can actually use on the shooting range. In fact, you can make targets of different sizes, to offer different levels of difficulty. Since this Bullseye design is very basic, it makes it the ideal choice when making bullseyes for children and youth. The lines are larger, and the center is more clearly defined. It's great when teaching beginners. Plus, as long as you are using the right paint for the medium, this Bullseye stencil can be painted onto virtually any surface imaginable, including walls, glass, wood, paper, metal, plastic, concrete, canvas, and fabric. You can even stencil it onto a cake in icing because the durable mylar stencil is 100% food-grade. To use the stencil, all you need to do is secure it flat to the surface and apply the paint in whatever colors you wish to use. Plus, the best thing about this stencil is that it is completely reusable. You can wash it with warm water and soap and store it away until the next time you need to make targets, which might not be too far into the future.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.
7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL
- Medium Weight. Feels as thick as card stock
- 7.5 Mil (0.19 mm) thickness
- Very flexible for tight curves and cylinder shapes
- Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
- Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained
WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
