The human brain is a mysterious thing, as enigmatic as the far reaches of outer space yet all in a space the size of our skull. We often associate the brain with science experiments, Halloween, autopsies, and other grisly settings, and that is just fine. We have created our Brain stencil so you can do anything you want with it, even if it's a bit grisly. Our Brain template is great to use for Halloween art and decor. You can stencil it onto signs and posters to advertise an event such as a dance or a spooky haunted house. You can decorate walls, windows, and walkways with human brains. You can combine this stencil with any of our other Halloween stencils, such as our Frankenstein stencil, to create a unique design you won't see anywhere else. Other uses include creating signage for a lab or an experiment. You can use it to help decorate a set for a play or a creative murder mystery. There are no limitations aside from those set by your own imagination. And since we make the Brain stencil in a range of sizes, you are sure to find the right size for your needs. WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?

As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.

Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.

There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
