Born Raised And Protected Military Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar
If you are a proud American who has served in the military with pride or has a loved one who has served, then you know the importance and significance of that service. You know how much sacrifice goes into it. And you know how much pride comes as a result. If you were raised in a military family, you've known all this since birth. It's deep in your very being. Well, this is the inspiration behind our Born Raised And Protected Military stencil. This is the ultimate design for full out American pride. It has the words “Born, Raised, Protected by God, Guns & Glory.” The fonts are beautiful and there is an outline of a soldier to the right of the words to complete the design. What a powerful design and a powerful message. If you have anyone in your family who has served, then using this to create a unique gift for them would be ideal. And if you have served, then you can do something with it that you can proudly display in your home. Once you decide on your project, you can choose the appropriate stencil size for your needs. We laser cut this stencil in the following sizes: 6” x 6” 8” x 8” 12” x 12” 15” x 15” 20” x 20” 25” x 25” 30” x 30” 35” x 35” Then you need to be sure to get the correct paint for the surface material on which you are painting. You can go totally patriotic and paint this design right onto a wall in your home or office. You can create fabulous stencil art on wood or metal for a rustic look and give it as a gift or hang it in your home, office, or a VA venue. You can make signs and posters for a military event. Anything is possible with the right paint. And since this stencil is so easy to use, you will fall in love with stenciling, even if you've never done it before. Just secure the stencil and paint, taking care to preserve the detail of the design. Then wash the stencil well and tuck it away and you have it to use again and again or to pass on to someone else who wants to honor the military person in their life. And don't forget to check out our other Military stencils, such as our Your Freedom America Patriot stencil.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.
7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL
- Medium Weight. Feels as thick as card stock
- 7.5 Mil (0.19 mm) thickness
- Very flexible for tight curves and cylinder shapes
- Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
- Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained
WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
