Baby elephants have to be one of the cutest things on the face of this earth. Like all mammal babies, they are tiny versions of their parents, but their parents are so massive, and they are so small. We really don't know anyone who isn't a complete sucker for these adorable little creatures. And that is why we created our Baby Elephant stencil. This stencil shows an image of a baby elephant, sitting on its bottom, looking completely adorable. The elephant's big ears and trunk are truly lovely, and you just want to give this little one a great big hug, even though it's just an image. Well, it might be hard to hug, but you can definitely paint it wherever you want. To make full use of the Baby Elephant stencil design, you need to begin by choosing your project. That might be painting on the wall of your child's bedroom or a daycare, painting it on children's furniture, making cute t-shirts or stencil art, or painting it on the set of a play. It would also look amazing in a toy store window or as a party decoration, even iced onto a cake (yes, this stencil is food-grade quality). Once you've decided on your project, get the right paint for the medium then get the correct stencil size for the space in which you are painting. WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?

As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.

Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.

There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
