A Mother Is The Heart of The Home Stencil - Reusable - 7.5 MIL (190 Micron) Thick Mylar

What makes your home a home? Is it the structure itself? No way! Is it the furnishings and decor? Nope. Is it the people? You're getting warmer. What is at the center of all of these things? The mother of the family! She infuses her touch and her love into everything in your home and she is the person who is there for you for every single thing that happens in your life, good and bad. She is literally the heartbeat of the home, and with that in mind, we would like to introduce our A Mother Is The Heart Of The Home stencil. This stencil is as charming as your mom. It is elegant and simple, with the words “a Mother is the heart of the home” written in a lovely script. The phrase is punctuated by a pretty heart and it is the perfect design for your mother, whether it's Mother's Day, her birthday, or you just want to say thanks on any random day of the year. To use this stencil to its full capacity, you will need to get two things. The right type of paint for the surface on which you are painting and the right stencil size. We laser cut this stencil in a wide range of sizes, including: 5” x 6” 5” x 11” 18” x 12” 24” x 18” 36” x 24” 48” x 32” 55” x 35” Of course, to do these two things, you will need to know where you will paint this design. On paper as a handmade greeting card or signs and posters for a party? Perhaps you would like to create a beautiful piece of art for your mom. Do you want it to be rustic on metal or wood, on canvas, or even on a decorative mirror? Since this stencil is food-grade quality, you could even ice this design onto a cake. Whatever you choose to do with this, or perhaps our Home Is Where Your Mom Is stencil, it will take you just a few brief minutes. All you need to do is secure the stencil and paint. Then you remove the stencil and wash it and you can tuck it away. You'll be left with an amazing piece of DIY art and a stencil you can use again and again.

Here are some advantages of using Mylar stencil material:

  • FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
  • EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
  • REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
  • DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.

7.5 MIL MYLAR STENCIL MATERIAL

  • Medium Weight. Feels as thick as card stock
  • 7.5 Mil (0.19 mm) thickness
  • Very flexible for tight curves and cylinder shapes
  • Recommended for fine detailed craft stencils and smaller stencils
  • Reusable as long as they are kept clean and well maintained

WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?

As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.

Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.

There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
